You must set expectations. You will have excellent 4G/LTE coverage in all major cities (Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca) and tourist towns (Baños, Montañita). However, the Amazon Rainforest (e.g., Cuyabeno, Yasuní) is extremely remote. You will have a signal in the main gateway towns (like Lago Agrio), but you must expect no signal once you are at a deep jungle lodge.
